 Backstory

Hello my fellow witches and wizards! My name is Christopher Hightower. I am the Deputy Headmaster of Hogwarts and the Head of Gryffindor House. I will be your Charms Master so wands at ready everyone! Just so I won't have to give out my life story during class, I'll just introduce myself here. I'm a Pure-Blood wizard from New York City. My family lives close to the Magical Congress of the United States of America. My father, Jonathan Hightower, is a well-known member of the Magical Congress currently serving as the President. My mother, Brittany Hightower, is the President and CEO of America's most famous broomstick company, Thunderbird Inc. With their combined wealth and influence, the Hightowers are known as one of the most powerful families in the US.

I, being the oldest of four, was lucky enough to be the first international exchange student to enroll in Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry thanks to my father's position in the Congress. My other siblings went to Ilvermorny instead. I had always heard stories about Harry Potter: The Boy Who Lived. His story was widespread across the world after Lord Voldemort's attack on Godric's Hollow. I had longed to meet Harry and become his friend and the letter to Hogwarts was my chance to do so. Throughout my time in Hogwarts, I had constantly supported Harry Potter and his friends on several missions behind the scenes. I was also one of the first to join the Order of the Phoenix and became an instructor along with Harry in Dumbledore's Army in opposition to Dolores Umbridge and the Fudge Administration. I excelled in Charms, Defence Against the Dark Arts, Potions, and Transfiguration receiving Outstandings on all four classes on both the O.W.L and N.E.W.T exams. I received an Exceeds Expectations on all other classes except Muggle Studies, which I received an Acceptable, and the three following classes: Divination, History of Magic, and Ancient Runes, which I received Trolls on because of my lack of interest.

After my 6th Year in Hogwarts, I had to return to the United States due to a family emergency. Lord Voldemort's army has also reached the United States and my father, then Head of the Department of Magical Law Enforcement, needed more Aurors and Hit Wizards to combat against the army that Voldemort sent off. He called for me to return to the United States to help fight off the army. Eventually the war in the United States ended and I was able to return to England. When I did, it was a week or two before Harry and his friends returned to Hogwarts and the Battle of Hogwarts started. I participated in the battle surviving numerous encounters including a fateful one with Lord Voldemort himself. Being proficient in the Unforgivable Curses gave me a surviving edge against my encounter with the Dark Lord. Eventually, the war ended and I took my N.E.W.T exams.

Following that, I returned to the United States to become the Ambassador to the British Ministry of Magic. I was at the position for a couple of years until the next Presidential Election when my father was elected President of the Magical Congress. He then promoted me to become the Head of the Department of Magical Law Enforcement, his old post. During the middle of my father's second term as President, I received a letter from Headmistress McGonagall stating that Professor Flitwick passed away and the post of Charms Master is open. I immediately took the job and moved back to Hogwarts to become the Charms Master and the Head of Gryffindor House since Professor Nevile Longbottom turned it down. Several years later, Headmistress McGonagall also passed away and the Defence Against the Dark Arts Professor Severus Gount became the Headmaster of Hogwarts. He appointed me as the Deputy Headmaster and also allowed me to stay as the Head of Gryffindor House.
