Welcome to History of Magic 101, the introduction to your History Studies here at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry! HOM-101 lays the foundation for future History of Magic Studies. Students will work to understand larger topics in history and connect major events to people, places, and their own lives. The goal of this class is to introduce magical history and create a basic understanding of how we came to be and how we ended up where we are today. 

My name is Professor Cassandra Stone, though I prefer to go by Professor Wood, my maiden name. If you've seen my staff profile, you would know I've been a professor here at Hogwarts since 2012. History of Magic is my passion, and while I understand that many of you find History boring, I look forward to introducing you to it through a rose-colour filter and hopefully sparking a newfound love for History.
